Expansive and yet often underexplored, Colerain Township is the most highly populated of Hamilton County's 12 townships, encompassing the communities of White Oak, Groesbeck, Northbrook and Northgate. Colerain's charm is that it contains all of the amenities of a small city, with the natural landscapes of a rural area.

If your only familiarity with Colerain Township is Colerain Avenue, at first glance it may seem like all dining options are relegated to chain restaurants. Colerain does offer a lot of big chain shopping, but tends to be woefully underexplored, especially in regards to dining.
Colerain in fact offers a wide range of unique eateries. For ethnic cuisine, one can choose from Thai Namtip (Thai), Kabuto Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar (Japanese hibachi and sushi), Golden Dragon (Chinese), Xochimilco (traditional Mexican) or Tumbleweed Southwest Grill (Tex Mex).
Walt's Barbeque is a local favorite for everything barbequed (with all-you-can-eat ribs on Tuesdays) and boasts an extensive kid's menu. Another great BBQ joint is Big Art's BBQ, which, besides BBQ, also offers other southern delicacies, such as hickory-grilled chicken breast sandwiches and Cajun-fried jumbo shrimp.
If you're a late riser, P & S Restaurant serves breakfast all day, as well as home-cooked style dinner specials, such as meatloaf, liver and onions and macaroni and cheese. More home-style goodness is available at Wedge Inn, famous for Wednesday night ribs specials and fried chicken. Another casual diner is Tag's Café and Coffee Bar, which specializes in coffee and home-cooked fare. Meat lovers will want to visit Dena's Diner to sample their legendary double-decker sandwiches filled with three meats and an egg.
If you're really hungry, there's Dynasty Buffet, which offers a huge spread of Asian cooking, as well as more Americanized cuisine, such as bacon-wrapped hot dogs. One of Colerain's dining gems (and also one of its most popular date spots) is Vinoklet Winery & Restaurant. They offer seven varieties of wine, from sweet to dry, and you can even stroll their 35-acre vineyard. For a fixed price, you can grill your own dinner on the weekends, or order from their upscale menu items such as barbequed ribs or chicken cordon bleu. There is also a bonfire and a strolling violinist on Friday and Saturday nights.
