Bio:
Birthplace: St. Louis, MO
School Attended: Cornell University
Degree: BS in Computer Science
At Work:
I work in Information Technology, building and supporting a system to store consumer data.
I think the main reason I like my job is that I face unique challenges every day, some more exciting than others, and work with intelligent people who care about me.
Lifestyle:
I live in Madeira which is a 'suburb' near one of the local malls. It's definitely not the happening place for singles that Hyde Park is, but it has it's own small-town-like charm in the main square, the large mature trees, and the overall community activites (parades, 5k races, cultural events, etc.)
One of the most exciting things I've done in Cincinnati is amateur autocrossing. The local chapter of the Sports Car Club of America is very organized here and puts on multiple events over the spring/summer. I also very much enjoy experiencing the arts that Cincinnati has to offer; but by far my favorite location as of right now, is the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. I also enjoy participating in the Young Professional organizations that Cincinnati has to offer. Once you meet 'Sid' you'll be instantaneously connected to the YP scene in Cincinnati.
What I love to do best in Cincinnati:
Cincinnati is a deceptively large city, with very unique neighborhoods. Mt. Adams reminds me of a mini San Francisco; Hyde Park has a very active feel to it (people run 24/7 there!); Cheviot reminds me of my hometown, St. Louis; Wyoming has enormous old houses and one of the best public libraries I've ever been too; Clifton has a great college town atmosphere while at the same time an incredibly charming gas-light district; even Newport and Covington KY have their own personalities. And that's just the tip of the iceberg as I still have many other areas to experience!I think my favorite thing to do is to have dinner at Pompilio's in Newport (The movie, “Rainman” had a scene there!) and then head over to a movie at Newport on the Levee or catch one of the amazing shows at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
